 General strike called in Palestine today to protest Israeli genocide


Israel is continuing its genocide in Gaza. A general strike has been called across Palestine on Monday in protest of this genocide. The Palestinian national and Islamic forces called for this global strike in a statement on Sunday, Wafa News Agency reported.

The hope of the strike callers, international supporters and platforms that are vocal in demanding justice will also observe this program on Monday.

A full general strike will be observed across Palestine today, Monday, April 7.

In a statement issued, it called for the success of this global strike. It also stressed the need to raise the voice of resistance and highlight the horrific genocide and crimes committed by the Israeli forces.

The horrific crimes committed by the Israeli forces include the killing of civilians, especially children and women, and the widespread destruction aimed at displacing Palestinians from their homes.

The statement stressed the importance of uniting local and international efforts to stop the Israeli aggression, and continuing to demand accountability for violations of international law and Palestinian rights.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 50,523 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli offensive, which has lasted for more than 17 months. 114,638 have been injured. The Gaza Public Relations Office put the death toll at 61,700.

Among them are missing Palestinians.
