May 15 was Nakba or Catastrophe Day. It is the day of the great catastrophe that befell the Palestinians 77 years ago and the loss of their homes. The Palestinians still carry that painful memory. That oppression and occupation still haunt them. That is why Palestinians around the world celebrate this day.

On the 77th anniversary of Nakba Day, Israeli forces carried out heavy attacks across the Gaza Strip in Palestine on Thursday. At least 115 people were killed in these attacks. Most of the victims were women and children.

However, the Gaza government media office said the death toll had exceeded 61,700. It said thousands of people missing under the rubble were presumed dead.
